Swiss Internet Governance Forum

The Swiss IGF, Swiss Internet Governance Forum, is the national spin-off of the UN Internet Governance Forum, the global process in which all stakeholders agree on the definition of rules in the Internet and in digitalisation (“Internet Governance”).

We cordially invite you to participate in the next Swiss IGF, hybrid, which will take place on Tuesday, 13 June 2023, simultaneously in Welle7 in Berne and virtual. Participation in the Swiss IGF 2023 is open to all and free of charge.

The Swiss IGF brings together all stakeholders from politics, administration, business, academia and civil society in Switzerland to exchange views on burning issues of digitalisation in an open, equal and interactive dialogue.

This year’s programme focuses on the challenges posed by the use and regulation of artificial intelligence, including in the context of knowledge and education, the protection of fundamental rights in the digital age, trustworthy use and handling of data, the benefits and power of platforms, the new opportunities for the exercise of democracy and its protection, the responsible use of new technologies as well as internet governance and the impact of digitalisation on geopolitics. The messages of the newly formed Swiss Youth IGF will also be introduced.

The topics were identified at the beginning of the year through the annually held public Swiss IGF Call for Issues.

Regular updates on the Swiss IGF 2023 will also be available on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter (hashtag: #SwissIGF23).

We look forward to seeing you at Swiss IGF 2023.
