We need more Swiss “First Movers”
Switzerland reported record venture capital investments last year. The later-stage segment, however, is still challenging. Whereas in the EU, there are VC funds through EIB as market failure is assumed – its hard for later stage companies to compete with Silicon Valley – there is no such support by a comparable institution in Switzerland. So the swiss solution has to be market based.
